The KW-AVX700/706 is a 2-DIN DVD receiver with a 6.5-inch monitor. The wide screen lets you watch movies and TV programmes with superb picture quality. The disc slot and SD card slot are hidden behind the monitor. Just press the OPEN button, and the screen flips down, letting you change discs or SD cards.

The KW-AVX700/706 plays DiVX® video files created on your PC. DiVX® is one of the most popular compressed digital video formats, allowing high compression rates and fast transfer speeds, without sacrificing any picture quality.
About DivX Ultra Certified: DivX Ultra Certified products are officially tested by the creators of DivX and guaranteed to play all versions of DivX video (including DivX 6), and provide enhanced playback of advanced media features like interactive menus, subtitles, and alternate audio tracks supported by the DivX Media Format. Ultra Certified products qualify for one of several DivX Profiles that designate the type of video the product supports, from compact portable video to high-definition video.
DVD-Audio
High-spec sound is now available in your vehicle! The KW-AVX700/706 is one of JVC's first in-car DVD receivers that can play DVD-Audio. DVD-Audio is among the latest and most advanced audio formats, far exceeding CDs in total sound quality. Savour the sensation of listening in your car with higher sound clarity, deeper bass, and more intricate details - thanks to DVD-Audio.
MPEG 1/MPEG 2 Playback
The KW-AVX700/706 plays MPEG 1 and MPEG 2 video files burned on DVD or CD. It's easy to play back TV programmes recorded from a PC, or footage you have taken yourself (with a digital camcorder, for example), without any hassles like authoring and decoding.
DVD/TV
The monitor shows DVD movies with high-resolution pictures to entertain passengers. TV programmes can also be displayed.
JPEG Pictures
You can view digital still photos in JPEG format, such as pictures from your digital camera. Burn the data on CD-R/RW, load it onto the unit, and let passengers view the shots as stills or in slideshow format.

The KW-AVX700/706 features GIGA MP3 MULTI, which lets you play back MP3, WMA, and even WAV files burned on DVD. With MP3 and WMA files, DVD's 4.7GB can hold 250 hours of recording, letting you store up to approximately 2,500 songs on a single disc - equal to 250 pre-recorded CDs. If you want even more superior sound quality, burn WAV files on DVD. WAV is an uncompressed PC music file format that delivers CD-quality sound. A single DVD disc can store about 100 WAV files - equal to 10 pre-recorded CDs. This means you can enjoy non-stop entertainment with CD-quality sound, without an additional CD changer.

Newly-developed Headphone Surround lets you enjoy multi-channel sound via your headphones. Unlike conventional headphone technologies, JVC's Headphone Surround creates virtual "room reverberations," which feel as if they come from outside the headphones - just like real surround sound in a large room. Any type of headphones can be used with this function.
*Available with 5.1-channel sources or 2ch sources with Dolby Pro Logic II turned on. In both cases, Headphone Surround only works when Dual Mode is turned on.

MOS-FET Power Amp
In the process of boosting voltage for current in the power amplifier, conventional bipolar transistors generate crossover distortion. But MOS-FET devices don't, and the result is high signal purity. MOS-FETs also feature a higher signal-to-noise ratio; meaning lower level signals are not degraded by noise. The head unit provides class-leading 4 x 50W Max. high power driven by high-performing MOS-FETs.
7-Band iEQ
Boost or cut the level by up to 10dB on each of seven bands (60, 150, 400, 1k, 2.4k, 6k and 15kHz). You can customise the overall response according to your taste or your car's acoustic environment. 7-band iEQ offers three user and nine factory-preset patterns (POP, HARD ROCK, JAZZ, DANCE MUSIC, REGGAE, R&B, COUNTRY, CLASSIC and FLAT).
